Description _ gordonp 2002-12-05 17:40:23 UTC
Using the latest cvs sources as of 4 Dec '02 I cannot
easily mount the / directory. I've got 2 problems to
report regarding this.

First off, when I type "/" in the File Name field I
do not get an activated Finish button so I can't mount
the directory. I changes "/" to "/." and got an active
Finish button. But this isn't obvious to everyone.

More seriously, while playing around with this I
selected the subdirectory "a" (something I created
once upon a time for some unremembered reason). The
FileName field reflected the /a name, which wasn't
what I wanted, so I backspaced and removed the 'a'
part. Now the File Name field said "/" and I had a
Finish button so I pressed it. I was annoyed to see
that it mounted /a, even though a directory wasn't
selected and the File Name field didn't say it.

I unmounted it and brought the mount wizard back up.
It had no selection in the list but File Name had "/"
selected and the Finish button was enabled. I pressed
it and /a was mounted.

This should not have happened since I did not have
that directory selected and it wasn't displayed in
the File Name field.
