Description ats37 2005-03-09 22:55:21 UTC
On the Additional Profiles page
(http://vcsgeneric.netbeans.org/profiles/index.html), all the links to the
various profiles just go to a page showing the "Planned Features for NetBeans
releases" document.
Comment 1 Martin Entlicher 2005-03-10 10:28:18 UTC
True. There's no http://vcsgeneric.netbeans.org/servlets/ProjectDownloadList
That page is always changed to
http://vcsgeneric.netbeans.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList. The same is true
for http://javacvs.netbeans.org/servlets/ProjectDownloadList and likely all
other projects.

This is probably the consequence of SourceCast upgrade, because it worked before.

Oops, issue #56097 is about news (although on nbdiscuss there was a complain
about downloads). Reopening and moving to www.
Comment 3 jcatchpoole 2005-03-10 10:37:26 UTC
I actually filed this last night on Collab's extranet as issue #8. Collab, this
is the "all downloads & files missing from */servlets/ProjectDownloadList" issue.
Comment 4 Unknown 2005-03-10 10:46:21 UTC
Have already filed 35383 for tracking this internally.
Comment 5 ats37 2005-03-31 13:52:02 UTC
I see that there's a number of profile modules in there now. However, it only
has Clearcase ones for "NetBeans 3.4.x" and "NetBeans 3.5.x and NetBeans dev",
while the Profiles web page also lists ones for "NetBeans 3.6 and 4.0" and
"NetBeans 4.x" That last one's the one I'm particularly interesting in getting,
in order to test with the NB 4.1 beta...
Any chance these other modules will be restored soon?
Comment 6 jcatchpoole 2005-03-31 14:04:34 UTC
AFAIK all actual files are now back in place (have been for a while), but some
old *links* don't work. Eg the first link on the vcsgeneric/profiles/index.html
paeg points to
http://vcsgeneric.netbeans.org/servlets/ProjectDownloadList?action=download&dlID=204
which is broken - instead of getting the file you expect, you get a file list.
However the real file that you were after should be listed there, if you can
identify it :-/

Martine, can you confirm that all files are actually back, if not linked up ?
Comment 7 Martin Entlicher 2005-04-04 11:43:32 UTC
Yes, the files are back. I've updated /cvs/vcsgeneric/www/profiles/index.html,
so it seems to work fine now.

http://javacvs.netbeans.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList is also back, although
I do not like mixed documents with files. But it's there. We'll likely create
folders for docs and for downloads.
Comment 8 Unknown 2005-04-14 01:12:04 UTC
Can we close this issue now?
Comment 9 ats37 2005-04-14 12:02:51 UTC
Assuming that is the right nbm (the description says "for NetBeans 3.5.x and
NetBeans dev" even though the 3.6, 4.0 & 4.1 links on the Profiles page point to
it), then go ahead and close it.
Comment 10 jcatchpoole 2005-04-14 12:07:30 UTC
Most, if not all, ProjectDownload* links, across all netbeans.org sites, broke
as a result of the upgrade. Those on vcsgeneric.nb.org are some of the more
prominent and heavily used, but by no means the only ones.

I've identified pages where such URLs exist, and asked the owners of those
module sites to review the links and update where necessary. I guess this issue
shouldn't *really* be closed until that's done, but there's no real way to track
that.

So I'll close it now. If anyone finds any individual links that are still
broken, we can reopen this with specific details, and assign to that page's owner.

We recently moved out from Collabnet's infrastructure
