Original status: 1-Dispatched; Suggested Status: NEW Original Target Release: mako_dev; Suggested Target Milestone : Dev Description: The Properties panel doesn't identify the type of object for which properties are being shown. It is titled Properties, and then just lists the categories of properties and specific properties. The closest thing to identifying the type of component is the ID, which starts with a default name that usually includes the component type. Just labeling the panel "Properties" at the top is redundant with the tab label at the bottom. xxx@xxxx 2004-08-17 Evaluation: Nice usability suggestion. xxx@xxxx 2004-09-15 - do not work on this yet :) xxx@xxxx 2004-12-14 20:45:25 GMT xxx@xxxx 2005-05-26 17:36:28 GMT Suggested Fix: Recommendation: The titlebar at the top of the Properties panel should name the type of object, e.g., "Properties: Checkbox". Given that the panel is labeled "Properties" on the tab at the bottom. Another alternative is to add a line in the properties sheet (just above "ID") that shows the component type name (equivalent to the name that is shown in the palette). xxx@xxxx 2004-08-17 Description area shows this information...maybe it should be turned back on as default? xxx@xxxx 2004-11-29 23:11:51 GMT
