Original Target Release: shortfin_dev; Suggested Target Milestone : 5.5 Original submitter: sjangity Description: I initially asked Tor if we can implement this and it is something I use ALL the time. When you have composite type components like (Table/Tree) and you do Ctrl+A to select the comp's on the designer, every sub-component gets selected in the parent-child relationship. This creates a very unclean designer (see MessySelection.jpg please for table selected). Can we make it so Ctrl+A only selects the top component w/o selecting the sub-components (as in CleanSelection.jsp)? Evaluation: Well, I am not that sure, Ctrl-A is a standard shortcut for "select all" not for select something, so I don't think we should change that, but there might be provided a different shorcut (some kind of equivalent to "select word" -> "select component"). Passsing to HIE to asses.
