NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200702131900) 1.5.0_11; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_11-b03 Windows XP version 5.1 running on x86 pl_PL (nb); UTF-8 1. Start NetBeans 2. Move it to secondary monitor and maximize 3. Close NetBeans 4. Start NetBeans - opens again on the primary monitor (secondary is to the right from the primary, it extends the desktop)
Please try latest build of 6.0. I've just tried described scenario and it works as expected.
It still opens on the primary monitor. Well I am afraid I don't know where to reassign this issue. dsimonek you have several DUAL_MONITOR issues assigned, could you help, please?
Sometimes I think I have all UI issues in the world assigned to me :-) IMHO this may be driven by some setting in Win OS, isn't it a feature that app should always start on primary monitor? Cezariusz, do other apps behave differently? Passing to Standa to test on Win OS...
All Microsoft Office applications and Internet Explorer 7.0 opens where closed (on the secondary monitor if they have been closed on the secondary monitor), Total Commander also, but you have to call "Save position" while on the secondary monitor. My own application (http://midicat.net) also opens where closed - I just remember the position, which seems to extend to the secondary display.

fixed /cvs/core/windows/src/org/netbeans/core/windows/PersistenceHandler.java,v <-- PersistenceHandler.java new revision: 1.52; previous revision: 1.51
Verified with 6.0 Beta 2. The splash still opens on the primary monitor, but it's not a big deal.
