A function allowing cells/rows/columns to be selected with a single mouse 
click (a la Microsoft Word) would be nice.

Could we have a more informative summary line for this bug? How about

After working through a list of various RFEs concerning selecting of rows and
columns I've found one that's already "started". So I will close this as a dup
of Issue 14642.
