RTF with circles with the number 10 in them as bullets when opened up in Word. none

Description Unknown 2002-05-19 17:08:55 UTC
There are no bullets to apply in a word processing document. The default
bullet is represented by a numerical 10 and the remaining choices are all blank.
Comment 1 Unknown 2002-05-19 18:30:45 UTC
When I go to format --> numbering/bullets, the only two options are
circles with a 10 inside them and rectangles. I'm using Windows 98 SE.

As this is windows, perhaps this is a duplicate of issue 4516.
Comment 3 prgmgr 2002-09-07 23:06:48 UTC
Steven, thanks for posting this issue.

Does this problem still exist in OOo 1.0.1.

Just as a side note, I can get the circles with 10 inside them as
bullets.

1. Start Writer
2. Click on the bullets button
3. Enter in a short bullet list
4. Save as an RTF file.
5. Open up the RTF file in Word 2000.

The bullets are represented as cirles with the number 10 inside them.

I discovered this issue while verifying issue 6801. Could also be
related to issue 5760.

Reassigned to Michael.
Comment 6 michael.ruess 2003-05-06 14:17:30 UTC
This sounds like the problem OO has with symbol & Unicode fonts on
Win98 and WinNT. I'll investigate this later, when there is one of
this two fossilized systems is available to me.
Comment 7 michael.ruess 2003-06-04 16:13:04 UTC
MRU->HDU: Bullet symbols cannot be displayed correctly on Win98. Not
in the Numbering dialog and not in the document.
Comment 8 michael.ruess 2003-06-04 16:13:29 UTC
Targeted to OOO 2.0
Comment 9 hdu@apache.org 2003-06-05 06:03:47 UTC
Since the bug is filed against OOo 1.0.0 please either update to at
least 1.0.2 or when staying on 1.0.0 try Ansgar Schrage's
suggestion from issue 4516 and tell if this helps.
Comment 10 hdu@apache.org 2003-08-15 09:17:27 UTC
HDU->US: It works for current versions and also for 1.0.3
(issue 4516). Please verify.
Comment 11 hdu@apache.org 2003-09-22 14:06:03 UTC
Forgot to reassign for verification.
Comment 12 ulf.stroehler 2004-07-29 13:49:02 UTC
Schould work (pls. see last comment from hdu).
Pls. close when verified. Thanks.
Comment 13 michael.ruess 2004-07-30 08:00:08 UTC
Yes, looks better with at least OO 1.1.x. Except the first bullet symbol in the
dialog, which is unfortunately the default bullet :-(
I'll file a new task for this.

Closed. Remaining problem has been filed as issue 32327.
