After installing the Beta build, my file associations changed (.doc,.xls,.ppt.).
Already had Open Office 2.4 installed with no issues.I had to uninstall the Beta
build before I could correct the file associations.

Beta was installed on same machine as 2.4; file associations for .doc format
were reassigned to Wordpad (as .rtf) after installing Beta. I never tried to
open existing documents using 3.0, just created new ones from scratch.

@ is: any ideas what might go wrong when installing BEA300_m2? File association
to OOo 2.4 shouldn't be changed when installing OOo3Beta.

agree
beta 3.0 loses associations with MS Office files.
rolling back to 2.4 solves the problem.

The file ppt file in question (created in 3.0) works fine in 2.4 - no crashes

Neither a beta version of OpenOffice 3.3 (build with appropriate beta flag set)
nor the developer build of OpenOffice 3.3 (currently used as beta) will do a
system integration on windows. (Tested with OOO330 m4 developer build)
