Description strehlow 2009-03-08 03:52:06 UTC
I've only verified under OSX 10.5.6 Intel.

CR/LF is still being added to clipboard contents when pasting into another
program. In my case I am copying text from the word processor into TextWrangler
2.1.2.

It does not occur when pasting back into same document.

This was reported (Issue 90511, 90892, 90896 for example) under earlier versions
and was declared fixed for version 3.0. It is not.

Also, there is no choice for OOO300m15 in the "Found in version" field of the
bug reporting form.

@OD: it seems that this happens word processors and editors with formatting
abilities.

Tests on MAC: TextEdit, TextWrangler and Word all show this problem. By Word, it
only happens when using "HTML" as clipboard format.
AFAIR it DOESN'T happen when using the respective "Past special" function of the
other software (which may be "text only")
Tests on Windows - same results:
- Wordpad: same problem unless one uses Paste special - Unformatted text
- JEdit: no problem (works text only)
- Notepad: no problem (works text only)

A guess: the clipboard default for some programs is HTML (Word) or RTF (Wordpad)
and it may enclose the content into <p></p> which leads to this result.
We may try to escape this...
