Description rsedellke 2009-03-11 13:38:42 UTC
We use OO for creating PDF documents under dotNet, so we starts OO with the
parameter
"soffice.exe -headless -nofirststartwizard -
accept="pipe,name=isakspipe;urp;StarOffice.ServiceManager""
All is ok and in taskmanager i can see only 1 x soffice.bin and 1 x soffice.exe.
But even when i connect to the maschine with RDP (remtote desktop by Microsoft)
i see 2 x soffice.bin and 2 x soffice.exe running under the system-account.

2 x soffice.bin and 2 x soffice.exe running under different account is no
Problem for OO i think.
Now i have the Problem that i can´t terminate soffice.bin /.exe

Some Information from Issue # 51767:
ccill said: "I tried it with with MS-Word 97 and MS-Word 2000. The work well."

No, if you start f.e. one WINWORD.EXE, leave the Word-Window open, start
another WINWORD.EXE, you'll experience that a second Word-Window opens but
the second process terminates immediatly. The first process will terminate
after all
open windows were closed.

Same is with OOo.

Just if the quickstarter is enabled it keeps the SOFFICE.EXE process running.
So
it will never terminate. And every further SOFFICE.EXE process will forward the
arguments to the already running process and terminates afterwards.

This is by design and common practise for larger applications.
