Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 105387
selecting background-template gives general IO error in new presentation dialog/reported as corrupted when loading manually
Last modified: 2010-01-06 19:51:02 UTC
Some presentation backgrounds (not all) give a general error when selected in the "new presentation with template" dialog. Opening the files manually gives the "document is corrupted and therefore cannot be opened" dialog, when allowing to repair, it is loaded without problem. To reproduce: * File|New → Presentation * select "from template" * switch from "Presentations" to "Presentation Backgrounds" in the listbox * select the "wine" or "water" or "forest" or .... entry You'll get this much-telling <sigh/> error message: "Error loading the template General Error" ########## * Manually load the corresponding lyt-wine.otp from the OOo installation via File|Open / double-click in File Manager or similar ( basis-link/share/template/en-US/layout/lyt-wine.otp ) You'll get the "The file 'lyt-wine.otp' is corrupted and therefore cannot be opened. OOo can try to repair ...." Dialog ######### When trying to assign the background via the right task-pane in an empty presentation (the task-pane displays a correct preview of the style), OOo sucks 100% cpu and has to be killed. regression (m56 and OOo 3.1.1 open the presentations without problem, without corruption warning) and freeze, thus P2
setting keywords See also issue 105382 for another 100%-CPU-freeze-on--open problem. Maybe related, maybe not
Reproducible. Reassigned.
cl->mav: problem is that content.xml has odf version 1.2 but manifest.xml has no odf version so we get a SaxExcepton from SvXMLImport::startElement. The document where created with a ooo300m10 version so it looks like we had a bug there
Fixed in fwk121. It is now allowed to have no ODF version in manifest.xml even for ODF1.2.

mav->wg: Please verify the issue. Please remember that the fix for issue 105382 is not in this cws, so after creation the new presentation will hang.
Verified in CWS fwk_121.
