Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 107094
Form edit window size shrinks with each save, close and reopen
Last modified: 2013-02-02 02:57:56 UTC
Each time I open a form window in edit mode and close it, saving changes, the window size, when I reopen it, is slightly smaller vertically (like by about 5 mm). When I open a form in Edit mode, it always shows itself to have been changed even if I haven't changed anything yet. Is this change because the window has resized itself on opening?
Hi, can you please check this issue again in a current OOO320 version (http://download.openoffice.org/next/). In this version the issue 87692 is fixed which describe a similar problem. Thanks and bye Marc
Hi, Marc, Before I answer your question, here are some more details. Unfortunately the computer I was working on (a Win Vista machine) broke and is out for repairs. So I checked the behavior on two other computers, both Win XP machines, both with OOo 3.1.1. On one machine (Dell), when I opened the form in edit mode, the "Save Document" button in the toolbar was enabled, and when I closed the form, telling it to save changes, and reopened it, it grew vertically instead of shrinking as it did on my first computer. On my third computer (ThinkPad) the form opens in Edit mode with the "Save Document" button disabled. I was surprised to see that the behavior appears to be so machine dependent. So I did as you requested and upgraded the Dell to OOo 3.2. Now when I open the form in edit mode, the "Save Document" button is disabled. This is good. But, if I edit a control on the form, say, re-size it a little, and close the form, telling it to save changes, when I reopen the form in edit mode it grows a little (it is taller) just like before. So it looks like the fix for issue 87692 does not fix my form-resizing problem. Thank you. JD
