The attached smooth ODF gradient is not exported cleanly to PDF (lots of
vertical white lines) by OO.o 3.2.0 rc2

It worked in OO.o 3.O

I suspect this is a duplicate:

MRU->PL: see attached odt (the lower one), export to PDF and open in
AcrobatReader -> the Gradient shape has whit lines in it.

... until you tell acrobat reader to not "smooth line art" in its preferences
