Windows has a feature of 'open with' in context menu of a file, which suggests
some apllications to open the file according to its filetype. 
However, in some filetypes in Windows 7, the OpenOffice items are duplicate. I
have never seen such behaviour in XP (I didn't test Vista).
I reprocedure the issue by installing trail version of Win 7-en and default
install of OO3.3rc4-en (no updates and no other apllications installed).
Duplicates can see for filetypes: doc (2 items of writer), rtf (1 writer - OK, 2
calc - wrong), xls (2 calc), docx (2 writer) and xlsx (2 calc). odf is OK (1
writer).

In OOO340m1 (Build:9586, rev. 1291124) this is a much bigger issue than just some duplicated entries.

For ODT and ODS files there are two options, OOo-dev3.4 and OOo-dev Writer. 
Thesem items both do the same thing.

For ODF, ODG and ODP files there is no option to open with OOo-dev at all.

Also, going to Open With>Choose default program...>Other programs, only OOo-dev3.4 and OOo-dev Writer are available, no other components.

There should be exactly one OOo-dev item for each file type, and that should be
either OOo-dev or preferably the appropriate component (not Writer for spreadsheet files).
