Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 124744
search engine on https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/FAQ doesn't work.
Last modified: 2021-05-27 19:11:39 UTC
If I go to https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/FAQ and enter anything in the search box in the middle of the page on the left side, I get an error: "/Documentation/FAQ/GoogleSearch There is currently no text in this page. You can search for this page title in other pages, or search the related logs, but you do not have permission to create this page." Also, I get irrelevant search results from the box on the upper right corner. I want to find out why the default page margins are 0.79 inches instead of 1 inch – there probably is a good reason, such as to save trees! but when I enter "change default margin" (without the quotation marks) as my query, I get many irrelevant results. (But, if I simply change the query to "change default margins" then I get the results I want.) Related tickets: #75859, #124743
seems to be a malfunction of the "<googlefaq />" tag that appears on the page.
Reproducible With WIN7 Seamonkey browser: 1. On above mentioned page below text "Use the FAQ Table ..." in the search string input line type "Searchforme", -> [Search] Expected: list with hits Actual: an empty page [1] with message "contains no text" appears Additional info: (a) it does not matter whether logged in or not (b) Already a problem with Revision as of 07:56, 17 November 2010 by Ccornell So I think it's something with the Wiki setup and not with the page contents (c) I read something about a MediaWiki Google Search extension [2] and how to integrate Google search [3], no idea whether that is related Hyperlinks: [1] <https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki//Documentation/FAQ/GoogleSearch?cx=012451685560999373550%3A38goifyftsg&cof=FORID%3A9&q=Searchforme&sa=Search> [2] <http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Google_Custom_Search_Engine> [3] <http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/How_to_add_Google_search_to_your_MediaWiki_Search_Results_Page>
