Description Keith N. McKenna 2018-05-02 20:23:13 UTC
Implement script developed by hanya and referenced in issue #121930 into in standard AOO profile as a method of alleviating the recurrent problem of the spell checker marking all words as misspelled.
Comment 1 Keith N. McKenna 2018-09-10 15:16:21 UTC
Asking for this as a release blocker to have a way to have an integrated way to solve a common and frustrating user experience problem.
Comment 2 Peter 2018-09-16 09:20:38 UTC
Accepted for 4.1.6
Comment 3 Peter 2018-10-08 06:34:00 UTC
where can we add this in 4.1.6, it is a separate script right?
It needs some more work to get it included, right?

It is a separate script, but it has yet to be included in the menu structure and the build process.

Maybe it would be easier to distribute it as an extension?

Extension is similar as a separate download from forums. Does not improve the issue. Well then this is not finished for release.

We need a entry in the menue and location where this is saved to. Scoping this out and into 4.2.0. :(

An extension can easier be integrated in AOO (like MediaWiki and presenter screen).
No separate download needed. But it has to be done one way or the other...

See Spell checker "red wriggly lines" - beta test fix for AOO at https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=85529 where this python script has now (Feb 2018) been downloaded 1,778 times with no problems reported.
