varying translation

POLISH version of user interface: one typo and one suggestion

1. Typo in message
On error caused by wrong library name in configuration file "script.xlc"
AOO displays message containing faulty word "Ogłny" (see attached file, word "Ogłny" marked in yellow)

Therefore line "Ogłny błąd We/Wy" should read "Ogólny błąd We/Wy"

2. Inconsistent names of events in Dialog Editor
Dialog Editor - "Properties" dialog for any control, tab page "Events"
displays event names that are slightly different from those displayed in "Assign Action" dialog.

These are as follows:

"Po otrzymaniu otrzymaniu fokusu" vs "Przy uzyskaniu fokusu"
"Po utracie fokusu" vs "Przy utracie fokusu"
"Klawisz puszczony" vs "Klawisz zwolniony"
"Puszczono przycisk myszy" vs "Zwolniono przycisk myszy"

(see attached file, event names marked in yellow).

Basically they mean the same thing but it would be nice to have only one set of names used everywhere (like in English version).

Dzien dobry! ;-)

Thanks for your input.
Translations for AOO are done in Pootle, e.g.:

https://translate-upgrade.apache.org/pl/aoo40/translate/svx/source/src.po#unit=14654898

You can always make suggestions there.

If you have time to help, you can ask for a Pootle account:

https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Pootle_User_Guide/Registration_and_Login

That will give you much more possibilities.

Regards,
   Matthias
Comment 3 Matthias Seidel 2020-02-08 16:31:47 UTC
Unfortunately Pootle requires a registration (at the moment).

One note:
Translations done on Pootle will be for 4.2.0.

However, if you happen to use Windows, you can always get my test builds here:

https://home.apache.org/~mseidel/AOO-builds/AOO-420-Test/

Just forgot to mention that point "2. Inconsistent names of events in Dialog Editor" also applies to form controls

A duplicate????

Did you really compare both issues?

As you can see I already corrected this.

> Therefore line "Ogłny błąd We/Wy" should read "Ogólny błąd We/Wy"

Fixed in:
errtxt.src#RID_ERRHDL.ERRCODE_IO_GENERAL.string.text

All i18n for "When losing focus" and "When receiving focus" should be the same as well.

I'm guessing this will be fixed in 4.2. Right, Matthias?
Comment 9 Matthias Seidel 2020-02-09 19:40:52 UTC
Thanks!

Yes, all translations on Pootle are for 4.2.0 at the moment.
Comment 10 Matthias Seidel 2020-02-09 19:51:19 UTC
Fixed in Pootle now.

Will become visible in 4.2.0 test builds when the next export of SDF files is done.
