Description arjanhen 2003-07-11 10:53:22 UTC
The copy/paste behaviour in the Impress application in OOo Beta2 differs from
the behaviour in OOo 1.0.

When I do a copy, paste for a slide in the Slide view mode the copied slide is
inserted after the LAST slide. In OOo version 1.0 the copied slide is copied
direct after the original slide. this is in my opinion the desired behaviour.

Problem with the new behaviour: when you have e.g. 50 slides and you want to
copy/duplicate the 2nd slide, the copied slide isn't visible after copying
because its 48 slides downwards, so you think. hmmm... nothing happened :(
but actually its at the end of the slide show.

I checked this behaviour for OOo Beta2 for Windows (XP) and Linux

I can reproduce the bug in the version you mentioned.
It works in the latest internal version.
please test the bug again in the OOo1.1RC which will be available soon.

This one sounds exactly like issue 33847, which is now reported against OOo 2.0
beta. Seems to be a candidate for a regression test :-).

You are right this is broken again.
We reworked the views in Impress completely. It is broken again during this rework.
I will make a regresion test when we change the views the next time.

I see the same behaviour in Impress 3.0. Create several slides; copy one; use
mouse ptr in Slides Pane to Paste. Pasted copy does not go in position pointed
to, it becomes final slide instead. Same behaviour in Slide Sorter view.
