Description sforbes 2003-10-09 07:29:40 UTC
When attempting to enter Hebrew registration information in the setup, Hebrew characters display
as sqeres unstead of Hebrew.
I am running osx 10.2.8

To repro:
* Make sure that you have apple X11 installed, the latest version of Java and Hebrew enabled in
your system
* Download an uncompress the osx 1.1 build from:
http://macosxrc.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/contrib/MacOSXrc/
OOo_1.1.0_031006_MacOSX_install_en.tar.gz
* Run Apple's X11
* Start the setup process.
* When you get to the user details screen, switch to Hebrew, and start typing Hebrew

Result:
Hebrew is displayed as squesrs

Expected:
Hebrew should display as Hebrew

Added oooqa keyword.

Do you know if this works correctly on other platforms?

I will try to reproduce although I don't understand a word of
Hebrew <grin>.

DL->US: Would you please takeover?
Comment 3 fa 2003-10-20 21:12:25 UTC
Accepting, I am investigating this issue where Hebrew fonts do not
appear in native type but as squares.

SBA-> Dan: Looks like a Mac-only problem. PLease take over. Thank you.
Reassigned to Dan.

Getting correct defaults should fix this.
