Description michaelis 2003-10-11 18:01:30 UTC
OOo1.1.0 (final) is distributed with OpenSymbol version 1.6 (47kB). On my
Win98SE-PC, not all of the the enumeration symbol are displayed correctly, but a
square is showed instead, meaning there are some missing symbols.

If I replace the file OPENS___.TTF in my %windir%\FONTS directory with an older
file (Version 1.3, 101kB) downloaded from
http://www.8ung.at/ooo.org/OpenSymbol.zip,
all enumeration symbols are displayed in the right way.

By reading the mailing-list users@de.openoffice.org I found that I am not the
only WIN98 user with this problem.

However, I installed OOo1.1.0 (final) also on some WinXP-machines and on a
SuSE-8.2-platform. Here, the new OpenSymbol file version 1.6 (47kB) worked
without any problems. So I guess this is a Win9x-problem. But because OpenOffice
is intended to run on Win9x-machines too, I started this issue.

Some other, similar issues (17287, 19186, 19187) exist, but they don't match
exactly my problem.

Duplicate of http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=19105
Will describe a workaround there.
