Description jur 2001-11-07 22:03:43 UTC
when entering phrases like bug 1940 issuezilla creates links to other bugs. This
makes it comfortable to jump to these bugs if wanted.
Anyway, sometimes you don't know, what this issue is all about, so you should be
able to see the summary of the issue, if you move the mouse over the created
link. This can easily be done via title="blubba" in the HTML code for the link.
While this won't work in Netscape4, it will work in Internet Explorer, NS6.x,
Mozilla and probably most other browsers too.
Bugzilla (which issuezilla is based on) does this. As an example what I am
talking about and how usefull this can be, please go to
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71066
now move your mouse to the list of bugs beside "bug 71066 depends on:". If you
keep the mouse for a while there, a tooltip with the bug summary appears. Now
please go to the first comment by Stephen Donner, where he mentions bug 63759,
and move your mouse over this. Now again the bug summary appears as tooltip.

This little feature can be REALLY helpfull when working more intense with
issuezilla.

accepting issues
Comment 3 Unknown 2002-01-15 18:46:21 UTC
Reassigning all of kat's open issues to support so that I can go through them.
Comment 4 Unknown 2002-01-15 21:26:35 UTC
Our product marketing group reports that they are considering this for
our next major release (code-name Danube).
Comment 5 Unknown 2002-08-21 19:01:57 UTC
please close with status resolved/later as it is resolved in the
Danube release
Comment 6 stx123 2002-08-21 22:51:33 UTC
resolved/later...
Comment 7 Unknown 2003-07-30 18:19:19 UTC
*** Issue 17590 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. ***
Comment 8 jur 2003-07-31 10:59:39 UTC
in a post from nearly one year ago this is said to be fixed in the
"danube" release. When will this feature be online on issuezilla?
Comment 9 lohmaier 2003-12-08 16:32:33 UTC
reopen issue since even with the new version of SourceCast (that is the most
recent version from my understanding) this feature still is not available in
regular issues. (what version number will Danube be?)

The Indication of Type, Prio & Status works in reports however.

Maybe this is a configuration issue?
Comment 10 Unknown 2003-12-18 06:54:30 UTC
Danube is the next release after this 2.6. So this issue is planned to be fixed
in Danube.

Assigning to Stefan to clost with status resolved/later.
Comment 11 stx123 2003-12-18 07:15:38 UTC
Please avoid the additional step of reassigning before resolving the issue as
resolved/later. Feel free to change the status yourself.
Comment 12 stx123 2003-12-18 07:17:01 UTC
Resolved/Later according to support.
Comment 13 Frank Schönheit 2004-08-06 09:37:15 UTC
How much LATER will Danube be, and how difficult would it be to add this small
innocent piece of HTML code to today's issue generation?
Comment 14 Unknown 2004-08-06 21:31:30 UTC
Priority, rather than difficulty, is the reason.
Comment 15 Frank Schönheit 2004-08-09 09:50:44 UTC
But given that it would save zillions of users billions of clicks every day -
wouldn't it be worth it? :)
Seriously: I understand that it's low-prio. Just mentioning that an hour or so
on collab's side can (accumulated) save much more time for others. Okay,
shutting up now.
Comment 16 stx123 2006-04-14 01:35:35 UTC
According to the status whiteboard entry this issue is planned or targeted for
Danube.
In preparation of the upgrade we should see a confirmation that the issues will
be resolved in CEE 3.5.1.
Please set the target milestone accordingly.
Comment 17 Unknown 2006-04-18 20:07:15 UTC
Granted a desirable feature; unfortunately not yet implemented in CEE.
Considered for future release.
Comment 18 Unknown 2007-01-05 10:15:35 UTC
To CRM
Comment 19 Unknown 2007-01-08 08:58:06 UTC
No updates so far in this issue checking if this issue could be taken up for a
future release .
Comment 20 Unknown 2009-01-23 12:40:19 UTC

Comment 21 pmike 2009-01-23 15:27:36 UTC

Comment 24 e_christenson 2010-02-06 03:10:30 UTC
I'll settle for issue title as the tooltip/"title" of link.

Would point out that this issue keeps getting resubmitted and noted as a
duplicate. Having to actually open all these issue links, by many people, is
*very* timeconsuming -- see for example, issue 99999 (Release blockers for
OOo3.2 to get an idea of how bad it can get, especially before the release
notes became available)
