I'am on linux Mandrake 9.2 (powerpack)  and use OO0 1.1 After to have scanned 
an image with openoffice writer, the openoffice windows close itself 
automatictly It is impossible to get an scanned image into the document.

what is your scanner. 
which version is your scanner driver. 
describe step by step how to reproduce the problem.

This is the details :

openoffice is open :
menu/insert/image/scanner/select source
I create a prewiev and i clic on "ok"
menu/insert/image/scanner/require
The scanner scan And at the end of the scan
openoffice is going to close
