Hi, i'm using debian linux (sid) and in #openoffice.org adviced me to report a
possible bug here.
Well, when i'm using Draw, i can import images with my scanner perfectly, but
when i want to import them from Writer it breaks!

The version of Openoffice is 1.1.0-3.

can you tell me does your office crashes or just does not react any more?

we made a lot of tests here and determined that OOo-writer needs up to 25 min 
(under linux) to show the pictures we scanned on a rather fast pc. during this 
time we can not work with the office, but it did not crash, just consumes a lot 
of cpu time and memory and waits fot the picture to display. if this happens on 
your system, this is a known problem and we are working on this (but this will 
be fixed to OOo2.0)

if your office realy crashes the stacktrace will be a help to.

yeahh, ok, it doesnt crash but, however, i have waited more than 25 minutes and
the OO Writer didnt show the image from the scanner. By the way, today, it
worked really ok JUST ONE TIME. I started OO Writer, scanned an image, and it
came really fast! The second time didn't work. So ok, u r right, it doesnt crash
but i have waited up to 24 min and i havent got anything.
One thing more: it does NOT consume a lot of cpu time and memory

So waiting for OOo2.0 :)
