Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 32116
Bullet and Numbering underlined strange depending on how and when underlining the text
Last modified: 2004-07-27 07:46:55 UTC
when underlining text behind a bullet, depending on when underlining the text - sometimes the bullet ist not underlined - sometimes the bullet and the autospace after the bullet is underlined - sometimes the bullet is underlined and the autospace after the bullet is not underlined (see attaced file for example and step-by-step reproduction) step-by step reproduction as pasted in the attaced file: add a bullet with some text, select the WHOLE text and press (CTRL+U). this will underline the whole text and the whole bullet: now press CRTL+U to deactivate „underline“ and add another bullet with some text, select THE FIRST PART of the text and press (CTRL+U). this will underline the selected part text and not the bullet: now activate „underline“ (press CRTL+U) and add another bullet with some text, (it should all be underlined automaticly) then select THE LAST PART of the text and press (CTRL+U). this will remove the underline from the selected part. the WHOLE Bullet will still be underlined: now activate „underline“ (press CRTL+U) and add another bullet with some text, (it should all be underlined automaticly) then select THE FIRST PART of the text and press (CTRL+U). this will remove the underline from the selected part. the Bullet will PARTLY be underlined: this also happens with „bold“ and Numbering i would prefer the Bullets to be always „normal“ no matter what the text is formatted like. Because when making a list with some „normal“, some „underlined“ and some „bold“ text, all the bullets should be formatet the same. when the user wants a bold /other bullet, he should/can select the wanted bullet from the menu (Format - Nummerierung/Aufzählung...) (In english I guess it is something like (Format - Numbering/Lists...)) Thanks Mickey

The bahaviour, which of the text attributes should also be applied to the bullet/number, has changed a little bit for OO 2.0. E.g. "underlined" will never be applied to a bullet. You can verify the changes with OO 2.0 snapshot build 680m47 from the download section. See issue 18463 for further information. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 18463 ***
