Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 34906
Line routing of connector lost in Writer after save/load
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
Background: tried to draw UML within a text document (after reading issue #10547), created some custom line ends and stored them into a Draw file for copy/paste. Now created new Writer text document, inserted a frame, copy/pasted two rectangles, one to the top of the frame, the other one below, slightly to the left; copy/pasted an arrow connector from a Draw document, so that the arrow connects the rectangles. The arrow first runs down, then to the left, then down again. After I save and re-open the document, the arrow first runs left, then down, then left! When I disconnect the connector from the second rectangle and connect it again, Writer routes it again down - left - down, as I want. After save/load, it is left-down-left again. I will add attachments.
Created attachment 18079 [details] Writer document with two rectangles and array connector
Created attachment 18080 [details] Draw document used as base for copy/paste of UML symbols
Created attachment 18081 [details] OOo "line ends" file hacked for UML arrows - used in other attachment 'UML.sxd'
MRU->DVO: drawing connectors are not correctly saved in Writer format. In OO 2.0 (680m56) it looks a bit better when inserting such a connector from Draw after saving/reopening, but still not as it should be.
