Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 3815
MS Word import filter errors - Image objects & macros
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
On build 641D .. Tested import of an MS Word document document (.doc) file and the template that was used to create it (.dot) ... In both cases, text processor did not faithfully align images in the workspace. The document also contained some simple macros that the text processor apparently did not know what to do with, although they were recognized as macros. Your issue 2420 document seems to address a similar problem regarding alignment of images, and is logged as "fixed" ... I cannot tell, however, in what build you believe this issue is resolved. Apparently not in 641D ...

John, thanks for posting this issue. The issues with the images in your document are all known issues. For the graphics in the main page, change the layout to absolute position based on the page margins. OOo prefers that anchoring is based on the page margins. See issue 3988 in regards to drawing objects inside the header or footer. Thank you for using and supporting OOo. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 3988 ***
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
