Description egerber 2004-12-10 16:18:21 UTC
My openoffice.org writers crashes when I try to insert a math-object while
auto-complete is still highliting a part of a word. this happens also if i
reboot my computer and start openoffice.org writer new.

to reproduce the failure, do the following:
- start openoffice.org writer and open a new document.
- on the first line type a word like "hello" and make sure auto-complete is
turned on.
- go on a new line and type "hel". autocomplete will add "lo". "lo" is still
highlited.
- now click with the mouse on the button to insert a math-object while "lo" is
still highlited. (i've added this button to my bars).
==> openoffice.org writer crashes with the message (in german, as my oo is german):

"Es ist ein nicht behebarer Fehler aufgetreten.
Alle modifizierten Dateien wurden jedoch gesichert und können voraussichtlich
beim nächsten Programmstart wiederhergestellt werden."

which means in english more or less: "a not correctable error has happened.
all modified files have been saved and can most probably be restored the next
time you start the programm".

i click ok, and oppenoffice.org writer terminates. next time i start
openoffice.org writer it asks me to restore the document which has crashed, what
also works.

I am using using debian-linux testing with a 2.6.9-kernel and have my
openoffice.org from debian-testing as .deb-packages.

if you have any questions, or if you need any additonal infos, feel free to
contact me via e-mail: egerber@gmx.net.

(and sorry for my bad english...)
