Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 42461
Openoffice Always has to recover database
Last modified: 2006-05-31 14:29:06 UTC
When A database has been created, then saved. Anytime any openoffice document is opened, the database goes through the process of recovery.
The recovery process happens most of the time on my installation too, when starting any OOo module (Writer, Calc, Base, etc). Not sure about *every time*, but definitely the majority of them. Regards and best wishes, Justin Clift
A quick workaround at the moment is to do the following: Once OO has been closed, Delete the file C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\OpenOffice.org1.9.77\user\registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Recover.xcu I'm not sure of the path on non NT based Microsoft systems. THis at least stops the recovery wizard starting up next time you start openoffice.
confirm, set target and reassign to the right developer
Hi, It's caused by the fact that we don't release the database file. So I set this one as duplicate. Best regards, Ocke *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 42460 ***
