Description elektroschock 2005-02-24 12:48:48 UTC
When I save a pdf document and view it in the Acrobat Reader, review it in
OO.org and save it I get a write error. Acrobat reader (I use version 6.0) seems
to lock the file for write access. This also happens to versions prior 680.m74,
the whole 1.1 series and earlier as well.

What's new is that saving the odt file also will cause an write error message,
so the flag is not unset. I am unable to save the document. Intrestingly the
error remains once it appeared when the Acrobat reader is closed. I can neither
save my changes as pdf not odt anymore.

"Fehler beim Speichern des Dokumentes ....odt
Allgemeiner Fehler
Allgemeiner Ein/Ausgabefehler
"

What shall be done?

a) OO.org shall sent a closing message to Acrobat reader, save the file and sent
Acrobat a message to reload the file.

b) The write error message is quite common. OO.org can determine whether an
instance of Arobat is running and provide a better error message that is more
helpful for users. The usability of this error message is awful and need improvent.

c) Savin the odt file and the pdf file is not related. It shall be reversed as
it was at earlier versions.
