We wouold like to switch the role of master download server from sf1 to ny1.
To me that means:
a) allow upload to ny1 via ssh
b) install sander's key and martin's key from #3848
c) provide a mechanism to access checksums on ny1 (see #4573)
d) give sander and martin a chance to test
e) disable syncing from sf1 to ny1
f) install syncing from ny1 to sf1
Anything forgotten?
Could we have an estimate about the needed time for a-d and e-f?

We investigated this issue and Ops at CN feels that it won't make any
difference. There is too much traffic on the two servers. Therefore
they are disinclined to pursue this option. I pointed out that it
might make things faster, but they countered that the situation is,
again, so intense that that wasn't likely. In fact, they argued, it
might even make things slower, as ny1 is generally the more popular
server.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved
<wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for
details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
