Description sgautier.ooo 2005-04-24 15:18:26 UTC
Hi,
It's not possible to drag and drop graphics from Gallery into a document when
you import a theme (.sdv,.sdg,.thm) created under 1.x version into m95. The
cursor change to the copy look, but nothing is copied. The same happen if you
try to link the graphic.
(last try with this theme :

other examples in .zip files present here
http://fr.openoffice.org/Documentation/Gallery/indexgal.html)
Kind regards - Sophie

Reproducible. But I am not sure if this is a feature or a defect..

Reassigned.

CL->SJ: Did we change the gallery format without a migration plan?

CL->Sophie: Thanks for submitting this issue. A workaround would be to drag all
contents of the theme to a document in OOo 1.x, load that in an OOo 2.x and re
create your theme. I'm sorry for the inconvinience

Hi,
Thanks for your answer. The difficulty is for site dedicated like this one which
is for History and Georgraphy :
http://ooo.hg.free.fr/cartooo/fichier.html
http://ooo.hg.free.fr/atlasooo/fichier.html
http://ooo.hg.free.fr/chronooo/fichier.html
The workaround will be a real pain for all the material we have of that kind,
this will be seen as an important regression.
Kind regards
Sophie

I will try to fix this issue for OOo 2.0.2.

As a workaround the gallery objects can be saved by creating a normal draw
document (sxd) in OOo 1.x containing the gallery objects. This draw document
should be loadable in OOo2.0, the gallery objects can then be drag&dropped from
the document into the gallery of OOo 2.0

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your quick answer and for your effort to fix this for 2.0.2.
We are aware of the work around, but it's really time consuming for projects
that have hundreds of Gallery themes and for all the people who have already
download them. Any way, we are really happy that you've started to work on it :)
thanks
Kind regards - Sophie

I have a gallery with about 2400 at hu.openoffice.org... Please do the right
solution, I don't want to waste resources to convert gallery... 2.0.2 is a good
point, but please do not forget to do this until that timeframe...
