Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 5121
Importing Word doc lost some of the outline numbering format
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
Opened a Word document that was formatted using the Heading outline numbering style (Heading 1 = 1.0, Heading 2 = 1.1, 1.2, Heading 3 = 1.1.1, 1.1.2, etc.). The paragraph margins were orginally set to 0.25" apart (Heading 1 was left aligned, Heading 2 was indented 0.25", Heading 3 was indented 0.5", etc). Once imported, the indentions were about 1.0" apart. I made some modifications and saved it as a Word document. The margins stayed where they were, but the Tab character between the number and the paragraph was dropped (it may have happened during the import process).
I see this too
This was also a problem with previous StarOffice versions.
Butch, thanks for the issue. Could you please upload a sample document that demonstrates this problem? Andreas, do you have a document that creates this problem?
Yes, I have. I will attach it when I'm back at my workplace in a few hours.
