Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 57550
To merge cells removes cell formulas
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:13:16 UTC
In a cell, I put a following formula like this one : =D2+E2 If I merge this cell with the previous one (which is empty), the new cell contains the result of the formula instead of the formula. After merging, the new cell should contain the real content of the previous cell, not only the appearance/result.
Can confirm - Windows XP SP2, 00o-dev 2.0.169 Like fcoiffie said: 1) Open a new spreadsheet 2) Put the numbers 1 & 2 in cells D2 and E2, respectively 3) Put the formula "=D2+E2" in cell E4. (The result is, of course, 3.) 4) Merge cells D4 and E4 w/ the merge cells button. Choose to move "the contents of the hidden cells into the first cell." 5) Merged cell D4-E4 now contains the number "3" rather than the formula "=D2+E2" Confirmed issue.
