Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 59598
bracket autoshape brokenness ...
Last modified: 2008-05-16 03:28:56 UTC
Unfortunately there is no m145 milestone - but I see this in this version: Create a single bracket in writer - then increase the line thickness to something that results in > a single pixel line [ it's fine until then ]. Notice the erroneous closing of the shape. [ The fill is pretty bogus too ]. cf. attached document & screenshot.

@rodo: cannot reproduce on stock OOo - Michael can't, too. This seems to be an oo-build-only problem.

I also get this buggy behaviour (see bug 60196) We could test, if it's the environment or the OO itself. You can download my compilation here to see, wheater you can reproduce... http://n.ethz.ch/student/bettlert/download/openoffice-2.0.1.tbz2

It can't be a build issue, because I get this problem with the stock OO from the openoffice.org web site. I also run an ATI graphics card (as reported in bug 60196). However, I think it is unlikely that it is a problem with the graphics driver, because the problem shows up also in pdf files that are created via 'export to pdf'. I'll attach a pdf file generated in this way. Maybe it's a Debian issue? I also run Ubuntu 5.10.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=144679 Have a look there. This issue is introduced by ooo-build-2.0.1 and has been fixed now.

So - marking fixed; to be more precise it was caused by the cairo line sub-division patch :-) Sorry for the noise.
Thank you very much for fixing this bug :-) Am very happy again.....will recompile it tomorrow.

what the exact status of this issue ? is it only ooo-build relevant ? In what version this has been fixed ? can we close this issue ?
yep - this is not present up-stream, it was an ooo-build specific bug.
This Issue is 'Verified' and not updated in 1yr+, so Closing. A Closed Issue is a Happy Issue (TM). Regards, Andrew Cleaning-up and Closing old Issues as part of: ~ The Grand Bug Squash, pre v3 ~
