Description bettlerthomas 2006-01-08 11:52:26 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
1. Insert a new ole-chart in writer
2. edit it
3. change chart type to lines
4. increase line width
5. voila...

Bug:
The curve becomes looped!!!! say from the end it goes stright to the start. Have no clue why there
appears a circular loop, data are clean.

Expected behavoiur:
The curve display from first to last data in a curve, but without looping from end to start.
Comment 1 lars 2006-01-08 13:50:47 UTC
which line width do you increase? and how?
Comment 2 bettlerthomas 2006-01-08 14:30:45 UTC
Default line width is 0.00
I then double click the curve resp. datarow -> tab line -> width = 0.10cm

See attached screenshots for illustration. Hope you can reproduce it.

I cannot reproduce it (on Windows XP Pro SP2 with OOo 2.0.1). Have you changed
the default colors because they look different for me? maybe an OS problem.
Comment 8 bettlerthomas 2006-01-14 12:17:22 UTC
No. I haven't changed nothing. It is even reproducable after deleting my users ooo settings. (rm
-rf .ooo*)
Can anyone test and report the gnome behaviour?
Can other reproduce it on kde?
Thank you

I can confirm this issue. In fact, the line properties dialog of all parts of
OOo (also draw and impress) are broken in the same way for me. As soon as the
line width is > 0.00", arrows are not properly applied anymore, and the line
width changes along the length of the line. I'm sure this is the same bug,
because the changing line width can also be seen in the screenshots that have
already been attached to this bug.

I am running OOo 2.0.1 on Ubuntu Linux 5.10.

Some more info:
I have now checked the OOo packages provided for Ubuntu (from
http://people.ubuntu.com/~doko/OOo2/ ) and the ones from the main OOo website.
Both have the problem. I have reverted to OOo 2.0.0, and the problem has gone
away.

I think the priority of this bug should be at least P2, because large parts of
OOo (at least draw, impress, chart) are pretty much unusable on Linux as long
as this problem exists.

I cannot reproduce this (I installed an SRC680m1 build 8890, which is OOo
2.0.1rc5) on a Debian Liux (testing) with 2.6.8 kernel running xorg 6.8.2 with a
Matrox G550 card and a Matrox driver.

Your problem may be related to the version of X11, the graphics card, the card
driver. What configuration do you have?

I use X.Org version: 6.8.2

Is the rc5 the same as 2.0.1or were there any changes?
Did you compile it or just install it?
Do you use GNOME or KDE or just plain X?

Don't think it's related to the graphic cards. I reproduce it with X.org's ATI radeon "radeon" and with
"i810".
