Description giorgiodemontis 2006-02-24 08:26:32 UTC
when i open a text document created with Ooo 1.1.4 (sxw) with Ooo 2.0.x
existing hyperlinks to files in my Harddisk don't work.
Opening hyperlinked files With Ooo 2.0.x Hyperlinks are pointed to internet file.

Comment 3 Rainer Bielefeld 2006-02-25 10:01:52 UTC
I created a file with "1.1.4 (German) WIN XP: [645m52 (Build 8824)]" and checked
with "2.0.1 RC5 German version WIN XP: [680m1(Build8990)]"; can't confirm that
problem.

Yes, that reminds a little to issue 56510

I checked with "2.0.1 RC5 German version WIN XP: [680m1(Build8990)]" and
conpared with "1.1.4 (German) WIN XP: [645m52 (Build 8824)]"

I can reproduce the problem, when I open the Document with 2.0.1 and check the
hyperlinks in ACQUA, ALBERGHI, AMBIENTE, ARIA, ..., I get those strange weblinks
as you see in my 'screenshots.png' under "My first test".
If I open '00index.doc' with OOo 1.1.4 WRITER, the hyperlinks will be shown a
normal hyperlinks to my harddisd.

But, funny thing:
If I open '00index.doc' as "Text Encoded" (ISO-8859-1),close without saving and
reopen quite normal as a .doc in OOo 2.0.1, the hyperlinks will be shown
correctly as links to my harddisk, as you see in 'screenshots.png' under "After
I opened fild as "Text Encoded"". I created a file '0alberghi.doc' and saved it
in the same folder as '00index.doc': the hyperlink in '00index.doc', which
failed in "My first test", now worked without problems. From then on the
hyperlinks also worked if I closed and reopened '00index.doc', and also in
copies of of that file, which I saved in the same folder with different names,
all hyperlink were shown als links to files on harddisk.

After I closed OOo and reopened '00index.doc' with 2.0.1, the hyperlinks were
shown as weblinks, until I did the "Text Encoded" trick again.

I was not able create a similar problem in files I created with WORD2000.

I was able to reproduce that problem with an own .doc created with OOo 1.1.4

1. Create a new 1.1.4 Text document with "1.1.4 (German)
  WIN XP: [645m52 (Build 8824)]"
2. Insert some words
3. highlight a word and create a hyperlink to a 'some.doc' somehow on
   the harddisk
4. Save document in the same folder as 'some.doc'
5. highlight some other word and create a hyperlink to 'someother.doc'
6. save document as 'WORD2000.doc'
7. reopen 'WORD2000.doc' with 2.0.1
8. check hyperlinks
hyperlink from step 3 will be a weblink "http://some.doc/"
hyperlink from step 5 will be a file link like
   "file:///E:/Rainer/Eigene%20Dateien/..../00index_b.doc"

So the problems seem to be
- damaged hyperlinks created with in 1.1.4
- unability to use those hyperlinks in 2.0.1 (although they work for 1.1.4
  and WORD)

I do not have any idea what might be the best subcomponent for this issue.

@cloph:
I'm sorry, I did not want to reopen this issue.
But - can you please check additional information in comments from
rainerbielefeld Thu Mar 2 10:40:57 -0800 2006? I found some strange effects,
that might be useful for bugfixing.

Pls. feel free to close this issue again if you believe that all details are
already reported in issue 56510.
Comment 13 Rainer Bielefeld 2006-03-03 06:43:26 UTC
I checked with "2.0.1 RC5 German version WIN XP: [680m1(Build8990)]" and was
able to create damaged hyperlinks as per 'Additional comments from
rainerbielefeld Thu Mar 2 10:40:57 -0800 2006' step 1 - 8. Result is my attached
document "mysecondtestwith201.doc"

testfile showing hyperlinks created with 2.0.1
Comment 15 Rainer Bielefeld 2006-03-03 07:02:09 UTC
I must correct my "Additional comments from rainerbielefeld Thu Mar 2 22:43:26
-0800 2006"

When I open "mysecondtestwith201.doc" with a normal text editor, I see absolute
hyperlinks <e:\Rainer\Eigene
Dateien\TEMP\oootestfiles\62517_hyperlinks\0alberghi.doc>, what confirms Issue
31267 remianing in 2.0.1, but it seems that that has nothing to do with this
issue here.

If you open 2.0.1 created "mysecondtestwith201.doc" with "2.0.1 RC5 German
version WIN XP: [680m1(Build8990)]", you will again see those weblinks
'http://0alberghi.doc/', although the document conatins the complete weblink to
the file '0alberghi.doc'.
Comment 16 eric.savary 2006-03-03 10:38:41 UTC
ES->MRU: it seems to be an MS-Word import problem only.
Comment 17 lohmaier 2006-03-07 01:15:01 UTC
closing duplicate again.

Your screenshot shows that the working link has an underscore in the link.

If you think you have to add something else to the issue, please add the
comments to the original issue, not to the duplicate one.
