Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 66219
text in an embedded writer object overflows frame border
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:26:12 UTC
see testcase at issue 66208 open the document, edit the embedded object and increase the object size (so that there is more whitespace to the left and up of the frame). scroll it to the right and down as much as possible. exit the object. even though before exiting text nicely fits the frame, after exiting last word in the first line overflows frame border. this might seem the same as issue 66217, but as this happens even if there is plenty of whitespace to the left and right, it seems different to me.

I checked with "2.0.2 German version WIN XP: [680m5(Build9011)]" and was able to reproduce the problem with the attachment from 66208, please see attached 'demonstration.odp' with several screenshots. I am pretty sure that the visible effect is caused by the bug reported in issue 66208. The OLE object from 'OBJECT_BORDER.odg' will show it's strange view behaviour also in CALC and PRESENTATION documents.

"Framework" might be more suitable than "Word Processor", but should be still assigned to MRU. though...

MRU->OS: activate the object in the attached Draw-document, scroll the view of the object so that the left half of the text object inside is only visible. Deactivate Writer object -> the part of the text, which should not be visible now will be painted outside the object's border
