Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 6735
Pop-Up Help Agent on AutoFormatting action
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:12:27 UTC
if a user edits a "new spreadsheet" the first time and the pre-defined cell mask changes the data the user entered for the first time, so that it displays differently, or whenever that happens after a load process of a document that the OOo pre-defined mask is applied the first time, display a small square in the corner of the cell - clicliking on that signals whether or not the user likes this "auto-mask" to occur and so whether this pre-defined mask should be used during the session or not and the "text mask" (that's the normal WYSIWYG) is "used".
Hi Falko, one4you
Please re-write what you want. I do not understand you at all.
this issue is an example of the usefulness of issue 7185 (implement user support functionality: warning types get users attention): the first time one of OOos predefined masks is applied ask the user in a dialogue whether he liked this or whether he wants to undo this and use the text mask instead and also offer the tick field "do this everytime". (remembering: that dialogue is transparent, small in size, and not must-be-closed-first)
back to you
OK, you want to warn the users that "AutoFormat" is in the making. Issue: Like in Writer pop-up the Help Agent when AutoFormatting (like tranfering a number into a date) take action. This issue should be re-thought once the new AutoGFormat defaults for 2.0 gone life.
.
To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
