Description oub 2007-02-20 16:17:58 UTC
Hello,
The document attached contains a math formula I copied from a word (XP)
document. When I try to open the formula (in the original document or in the new
OO document) I receive the error:
Error activating object
general OLE error.
Another document by the same author contains equations which I do can open.

You need to have MathType 5 installed on your system to edit MathType OLE objects.

Aeh on Linux there is no Mathtype editor, so what shall/can you do. May be at
least the error message should be clearer.

Unfortunately Linux does not offer OLE mechanism like Windows. This cannot be
solved in OOo.

Making the message more significant is already tracked as issue 23481.
