Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 75091
Change the Toolbar Colors
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:37:36 UTC
I would say that this issue is a ux enhancement. At the moment, one of the most visible difference between OOo and Ms Office is the toolbar colors (cf screenshot). It would just make OOo look better to change it to something else that the current grey. This is related to issue 75049.

Pierre-Andre, Can you pleae have a look at the document I wrote for aquavcl cws ? http://eric.bachard.free.fr/mac/aquacolors/documentation/maquacolors_dev_notes.pdf The document is not complete, but I have tried to describe how implement an User Interface configuration file - macosxrx.txt . Corresponding cws is aquacolors, and the relevant issue is : http://www.openoffice.org/issues/ show_bug.cgi?id=61174 We use StyleSettings and AllSettings classes + SetStyleSettings() , all defined in vcl/inc.settings.hxx FYI, I'm implementing the same for the native Aqua version because I try to draw bitmaps instead of flat colors ( Aqua theme exactly ), in windows headers ( passive areas). HTH
ericb -> thanks for the links (that's why I cc you to the mail ;-) So, as you already did it for the Mac Port, I suppose that this could be done also for Windows and Linux. But as this issue is assigned to "requirements", it may take sometime before anyone lokks at this issue again. Let's see what the requirement guys will say...
cj, I added you to this issue because you are in the ux team. Could you ceck if such a task has already been evaluated? Thanks!
