Description rail_ooo 2008-05-05 05:19:54 UTC
If you take a look into localize.sdf files you can see wrongly imported
translations with exclamation mark at the end. It's true for Russian translation
only.

I would like to nominate this bug as beta show stopper.

Hi,

I found in BEA300 m2 officecfg/.../UI.xcu:

<node oor:name="com.sun.star.presentation.PresentationDocument" oor:op="replace">
  <prop oor:name="DisplayName">
    ...
    <value xml:lang="ru">Презентации</value>
    ..

Without any "!" characters , I am sure this issue is related to issue 88974
Comment 3 ivo.hinkelmann 2008-05-05 12:38:15 UTC
Carsten, please have a look
Comment 4 rail_ooo 2008-05-05 14:03:30 UTC
Ivo,

it's ok for com.sun.star.presentation.PresentationDocument but if take a look at
officecfg/unxlngi6.pro/misc/merge/org/openoffice/Office/Common.xcu (just an
example) you'll see the following output:

-----------------------------------------------------------------
$ grep lang=\"ru\" Common.xcu
...
                <value xml:lang="ru">Текстовый документ!</value>
                <value xml:lang="ru">Электронную таблицу!</value>
...

-----------------------------------------------------------------

localize.sdf contains the same strings. I am not sure if this issue is somehow
related to issue 88974, because we see the same messages as we have in
localize.sdf files.

BTW, there is a lot of such strings...
Comment 5 carsten.driesner 2008-05-05 16:15:24 UTC
cd->ihi: Please have a look. The entries in the Common.xcu are imported with an
'!' character at the end.

Comment 8 hans_werner67 2008-05-06 11:08:31 UTC
Fixed in the database, needs an export for Russian localize.sdf files and
Pootle. Reassign to Ivo...
Frank
Comment 9 hans_werner67 2008-05-06 11:09:14 UTC
assign Ivo
Comment 10 rail_ooo 2008-05-06 11:17:37 UTC
Hmm, Pootle seems OK for me, please be careful.
Comment 11 rail_ooo 2008-05-08 08:31:55 UTC
Any news on this issue?
There is a deadline for Pootle on May 11 and I plan to upload new translation
there these days without conclict.
