Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 94474
Can't bring up search dialogue in full screen mode
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:31:14 UTC
this report has been filed here: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/247796 "When in full screen mode in Open Office write, I can't bring up the search dialogue by pressing ctrl+F, and search is greyed out in the edit menu." Thanks,
Reassigned to SBA.
confirmed with OOo 3.0 on Linux and windows. This is not only a writer issue but also happens in Calc. Seems as all non-modal dialogs are opened behind the document window and are not accessible. This even may lead to situations wehre you only can kill OOo: - Open Calc and enter Fullscreen view - Ctrl+F2 to insert a formula (or Alt+I, F) -> function wizard is opened but not visible and cannot be closed anymore
issue 92562 seems to have the same root cause
Confirmed on OOo-dev 3.1.0 (OOO310m4), Win XP. Appears to be a regression, as the same bug (CTRL+F dialog not visible in full screen) was certainly present in June 2007, as it prompted me to write my first macro (last post: http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=21611). Macro let the find dialogue be visible, but no longer.
Appears to be linked to issue 87897.
General Issue, not Accessibility. Can lead to data loss (but not very likely, because of this special mode) => OOo 3.3. (As discussed with MD)
cd: Too late to fixed for OOo 3.3. Must be shifted to next release.
set target to 3.x since not release relevant for 3.4 release.
