Description hartmut_bremen 2010-03-22 14:45:00 UTC
Dear friends, what I miss in the presentation module is the possibility of assigning and changing of effects
to objects like text lines "one for all". Right now it is possible to assign an effect to a bulletted text line
one after the other. On the next slide I do it the same. Why isn't it possible to tell the presentation: "Make
all text lines fly in from right, 15 seconds after the previous one"?
Or change all effects with one command: "Make all text lines which flew in from the right appear (fade in)
20 secondes from the previous one"?
This would make the application of effects/animations much easier.

Appears to be a duplicate of Issue #110233.

Hello, and my apology. I see that your request is not a duplicate, but supports
a similar enhancement request on Issue 110223, to which I've linked your issue.

I understand that you need to apply an animation effect to a selected group of
lines, and specify a delay between the line animations. Impress has a "Group
text" animation option that can help, although you may wish to have it further
enhanced\expanded.

To try the feature:

1. Select a text object with several lines.
2. Select the Fly In effect and the desired Property.
3. Click the ellipsis button (...) next to Property and click the Text
Animation tab.
4. Choose the group text option called "By 1st level paragraphs".
5. Check Automatically after and enter a delay in the field.
6. Click OK, and test the animation.

There is currently a problem with the Up and Down buttons in the numeric field,
and the field may be colored in- Issue 110439. To work around it, click the
upper left corner of the field and type in a value, or use the up\down arrows
on your keyboard.
