Description infodoc 2007-08-21 23:01:49 UTC
Upon opening the macro tab of the picture widget I get an error message "JRE is
Defective" with text "OpenOffice.org requires a Java runtime environment (JRE)
to perform this task. The selected JRE is defective. Please select another
version or install a new JRE and select it under Tools - Options -
OpenOffice.org - Java"

When I click on "OK" the error pops up again. If I try to click on the document,
or the Picture widget, the message pops up again, if I try to close it via the
[X] icon, it just pops up again. I can access and use other OOo documents that
are open.

BTW, java version "1.5.0_12"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_12-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_12-b04, mixed mode, sharing). Platform
is a 32 bit SuSE 10.2 laptop, KDE, 1.8 GHz Pentium M, 2 GB RAM, with several
other running Java applications (and no trouble launching things like Eclipse).

This is a dupe to 80878, but a much older issue must exist somewhere.
