I recieved a document from a friend of mine. It had a graphic in it and i opened
it in both  word97 and oo643. There is a visible difference in the way the docs
show up. I will mail the document to anyone interested. It is apretty small and
simple doc.

Hi -- I'm sorry for the delay in responding to your issue.  

The latest release of OpenOffice.org is 1.1rc2.  Please advise if
upgrading has solved your problem.

At the moment, in Writer graphics and frames cannot be positioned with
a negative vertical offset to its referring paragraph.
