Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 91310
Linking of images in image controls, rather than embedding them into the database
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:33:42 UTC
I am using 2.3.1 (and it is the same in 2.4.1) and I am embedding a picture in the database. To save space, I would like to link, rather than embedding. The link box is ticked but greyed out on the picture selection dialog box. Is this right? Is there an option I should be setting to link rather than embed? Any help appreciated.
Linking to images, and displaying them in an image control, is currently not possible. I would have though there already is an issue requesting it, but I cannot find it. Confirming, grabbing, putting into the 3.x pool.
@all FYI Roberto Benitez's book "Database Programming - OpenOffice.org Base & Basic" shows you how to do this using macro magic and the file picker control. Alex
