Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 97690
writer2latex causes soffice to fail to start under --enable-dbgutil
Last modified: 2010-02-22 15:29:45 UTC
This is actually for DEV300-m38. The writer2latex filter extension causes soffice to fail to start when built with --enable-dbgutil. It's because the extension includes filter types with a PreferredFilter property, but the filters specified there are not import filters. This triggers one of OSL_ENSURE macros in the filter cache code, causing the soffice process to terminate.

Note that the attached patch is a diff of a diff, so it may look weird unless you are used to seeing this kind of stuff. I'll attach the modified patch that should replace the current writer2latex05.patch, to make it easier.

How is this one related to issue i97503 ? Is it a duplicate or do we have several issues here?
I think this is the same issue as Issue 97503. But rather than closing this as a duplicate, I'd like to keep this and close 97503 as a dupe since this one has a patch attached to fix it.
yes, of course

Just tested your attached patch for mac and windows non-product: smoketest no works again with bundled writer2latex extension. Great. I'll add this to my current rt36 CWS for integration into DEV300 m39.
should of cause read: "smoketest now works" ...
Kurt, please verify on CWS rt36
