Description gleppert 2006-10-04 15:43:43 UTC
Impress interpretes the gradient used in the attached powerpoint presentation
wrong. The direction of the used gradient is not correct. Therefore, the white
logo look wierd.
O.K. this is not a major issue. However, it disturbs data exchange with
Powerpoint users.

Comment 4 christian.guenther 2006-10-05 09:44:26 UTC
I can see the bug in the attached document but I don't know how to reproduce it.
Please have a look.

set target from 2.x to 3.x according to

Comment 7 felixruoff 2007-11-10 14:17:51 UTC
I can reproduce this issue with another file (but I am not allowed to publish
it. I am sorry!). My file is produced with MS PPT 2007 and shows the same error
- a horizontal flip of a gradient-image.

Sven, Martin,
given the number of duplicates I suggest reconsidering the target and fixing
(seemingly trivial import) bug earlier.
Thank you very much.

WBR,
K. Palagin.

Yes, you are right, we should try to fix this issue earlier. OOo2.4 is in its
final phase, so the next possible version would be OOo3.0, I change the target
and will try my best to keep this date.

I attach a odf file.
Export it to ppt and close the document
load it with ppt and compare it with the odf.
there are some differences.
open the ppt file in Impress and compare it with the odf
there some additional differences.

Several gradients and bitmaps of the gradients.
Comment 18 gleppert 2008-05-19 10:26:13 UTC
Is this issue on track for 3.0? At least in OOo.org 3.0 Beta, this issue is not
solved.
Comment 19 msandersen 2008-05-20 02:27:07 UTC
Issue with the PowerPoint Metro template; Its gradient goes from black on top to
blue on the bottom, with the midpoint low. Impress fails to set the midpoint, it
renders a straight gradient.
Screenshot and sample attached.

Comment 22 msandersen 2008-05-20 03:18:55 UTC
Although my issue with the Metro gradient is not a reversed vertical gradient,
it was marked a duplicate of this.
