Issue 93339 should be blocked by Issue 93631. This is the Meta issue to track the potential stoppers for the release of OOo 3.0.1. If anyone would like to raise an issue for the release, please add the issue id of the issue you want to raise as dependent issue to the Meta Issue and drop a note on releases@openoffice.org, that and why you want to declare that issue as a stopper for releases. N.B.: The issue must have been confirmed. Issue 93339 should be blocked by Issue 94900. Could anyone add this issue to the list? Issue 93339 should be blocked by Issue 91015 (duplicate 95060, present in depedens of this issue) *** Issue 95286 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** This issue should be blocked by Issue 95341 which leads to wrong display behaviour during presentations. This can be very embarrassing for the presenter of the slides. Added issue 95206, execution of BASIC scripts imported as extension does not work in BASIC IDE, this is a regression to OOo 2.4 added http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=94980 this issue makes it impossible to use old dialog based *.sxw/*.sxc files I propose issue 92945 as blocker for OOo 3.0.1. The cursor position in Writer documents is not restored when the last editor re-opens the document. The view is OK but the cursor is at the top of the document. This is a regressive annoyance for power users who write a lot and work on multiple-page documents because the view jumps to the cursor as soon as the user starts typing. I have waited some days/weeks, because I wanted to let settle down the troubles and hectics around the shipping of OOO3.0 Release. BTW.: a great release, thank you! :-) But now I try to get your little attention/short focus on a small glitch on OOO3 on MacOSX. Therefore, please make Issue 93631, http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=93631 a blocker of Issue 93339, http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=93339 . This issue 93631, reported by the user grahamperrin is still there, I can still confirm it in the latest Development Builds (OOO300 m11 as well as DEV300 m33). This issue is a glitch, that should'nt be carried around too long, because it makes OpenOffice look a kind of unfinished and unprofessional, especially for users, which have their first touch with OpenOffice. From my point of view, this little issue is an issue, that is able to cut off a little bit of the first impression of OpenOffice beginning with the first launch of this application. I don't know, if this issue is related only to MacOSX, but especially concerning that particular platform: Apple users are HIGHLY sensitive to things and glitches (careless, if it is a small glitch or a big one) concerning the visual appearance and the OS integration of an application on MacOSX. Please look into this issue and try to verify, confirm and/or fix it, or at least put it on your agenda. I know, it's a very small glitch. But a very small glitch that takes off a little bright of OOO from the start on, (at least) on MacOSX. There are two issue which I would declare as stoppers: 1. There is an issue which lead to the behaviour a presentation does not look the same way in the presentation mode as in the work-mode. See Issue 95341. 2. There is an issue that makes the most simple copy and paste misbehave in OpenOffice.org Impress. See Issue 94900. Both issues happen in very basic functions of an office tool and should be fixed as soon as possible. Additionally: The first bug leads to embarrassing situations. I always have to say: The template will look better as soon as OOo 3.0 is fixed. Added issue 95162 - problems installing extensions to userdirectories containing non-ascii characters. Please consider issue 94841,95212 : spreadsheet collaboration can lead to data corruption. Please consider Issue 95312 for 3.0.1 OOo 3.0 with recommended ODF version 1.2 can destroy sxc files. Added issue 95777 - crash when clicking on "Save BASIC" in BASIC IDE. OF: Adding issue 95919 Although unconfirmed at the moment my Issue 95957 is one that I feel needs to be resolved ASAP. I am aware that I am submitting it after the cut off date, and will move this to Issue 95768 if more appropriate. David. Removed issue 95162. This cannot be done in the 3.0.1 time frame. Issue 93339 should be blocked by Issue 92661 and Issue 93084 to enable python in OOo 3 on Mac OSX. add 93994 Is it possible to suggest Issue 94900 for OOo 3.0.1? This issue leads to misbehaviour in the copy+paste functionality of Impress. I think that such basic functionality has to work in an Office Suite. The release of 3.0.1 was delayed for one month. So, is this possible? How about 95050? added issue 96514, issue 96516 and issue 96518 added 96529 Removed 93994 and 96647 readd 93994. Was approved by the RSM already (and that no one who owns the code/the one who broke it apparently doesn't care is no argument) . ul: nice try... Please consider Issue 96743 as stopper (Windows Search for content in ODF files do not work in OOO 3.0.0). After the installation of 3.0.0, the search for content in ODF files in Windows Explorer doesn´t work. In the 2.4.1 version, this search works fine. Thanks! Please consider Issue 95152 as stopper (Crash: Opening files with trailing spaces) http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=95152 This simple issue causes OpenOffice to crush upon opening a file, and I assume solving this issue suppose to be fairly simple, just add a trim trailing spaces function to the open file dialog result. Thanks! attached 96938 I would like to nominate this: 93075 I would like to nominate http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=97225 added md to cc add issue 97491 in case it was unintended. But even if it was intended, I think we should not allow such a major change in a *minor*, *bugfix* release... added issue 97438 removed 97225 because "closed duplicate" add 89713, regression in 3.0 for a externally-used tool (reported against beta, fwiw!) Please consider Issue 97526. It's big problem with langpacks. Thanks. removed 97139, as discussed in the release status meeting. OF: Added issue 98060 added issue 98067 "Windows installation sets need to be digitally signed" OOo 3.0.1 has been released. this issue should be closed. mark as done, 3.0.1 has been released. closed because version 3.0.1 is released yet When I download OO for my Mac 10.5 Intel, the .dmg refuses to load: I clock and it shows "Not recognized" -- HELP!!!! |
