fidelity issues can be named interoperability issues. They cover issues that are related to any kind of improvement or fix that increase the interoperability with MS formats.

"Fidelity" is an analogy to sound recordings.  If the recording sounds the same as the original source it has "high fidelity".  So if a document renders in AOO the same as it did in the original application then it also has "high fidelity".
